The bulwark claim of the anthropogenic global warm (AGW) hypothesis and the objective of the stick are that current global annual average temperatures are the warmest ever. This meant the upturn of the blade in the 20th century was only relevant if it was higher and steeper than any previous record.
When scrambling to explain all the cold weather people only expose their ignorance of climate science. Fortunately, they also produce statements that even those who don't understand the science see as illogical.
Official climate forecasts produced by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), are wrong, useless and dangerous. Weather and climate has been totally politicized through government involvement. It’s time to eliminate them in forecasting and research and reduce their role to data collection.
People who use the environment as a vehicle for political control have not quite destroyed environmentalism. They are running out of exotic scares; a sign of desperation is the shift to much larger targets, but they pose the problem that people know a little more, and basic questions raise immediate doubts.
Control of the science and content of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Reports was planned from before it was officially formed in 1988. Exposure of manipulation to achieve desired results also began early.
Several factors prove the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and all those pushing global warming or climate change have a political agenda. Most of these factors are driven by the obsession with temperature. It’s a narrowly focused obsession because they effectively ignore the Sun, the main cause of temperature variation.
The surface of the Earth is similar as the interface between the atmosphere and the underlying surfaces. Accurate measurement and understanding of processes are critical to what is happening in the atmosphere, underground and in the oceans. Unless we understand the dynamics across the interface, we will not know what is going on above and below the surface. Surface stations aren't measuring what is necessary for understanding changes in weather and climate. But none of this is important to the IPCC, who only wants the results to support the political conclusion.
An article published through Penn State University would receive a failing grade in any reputable first year climate course. It is scientifically incorrect and demonstrates a lack of understanding of basic weather mechanisms and climate patterns. Despite this, the article is used to demand dramatic action in an application of the standard fall back of environmentalists – the Precautionary Principle. The author’s approach underlines so much of the problem with the global warming/climate change debate. Strong, emotional positions are held without understanding the science. So it fails as a philosophy paper as well.
Arctic ice pack is melting at approximately 54,000 square kilometers a day as the world warms. Why haven’t we seen this headline? Possibly because when journalists check, it’s the average rate of summer melt as the ice decreases from winter maximum of 14 million square km2 in April toward a minimum of 4.5 million km2 in September. Few people know this much ice melts every summer, but they don’t know a similar amount of ice forms every winter.
The list of absolute contradictions about environment and economies gets longer every day as we drift further from logic and reason. The frustration and madness is that many of the contradictions only apply to government thinking and worse their actions. These are far removed from reality and all infused with the hypocrisy of, “Do as I say, not as I do”.
