April 14th is the anniversary of Titanic’s collision with an iceberg in the North Atlantic. One can’t absolve the sailors from lack of vigilance because the accident happened, but it’s important to know their situation and expectations.
It appears there’s a media blitz to recover lost momentum as the public reject claims of global warming.
The bulwark claim of the anthropogenic global warm (AGW) hypothesis and the objective of the stick are that current global annual average temperatures are the warmest ever. This meant the upturn of the blade in the 20th century was only relevant if it was higher and steeper than any previous record.
Manipulation of global temperature data to prop up claims of current global temperatures being the warmest on record due to human production of CO2 continue. Meanwhile, nature ignores the false science.
For years I've asked, "What's wrong with having global warming?" It's a question that flummoxes people swamped by nothing but disaster predictions from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and mainstream media television that have hourly "Severe Weather" or "Extreme Weather" reports. After some thought, most people say their concern is sea level rise. What they don't know is that, like CO2 induced warming, it is another falsely presented threat.
In the battle for proper climate science free from politics, there are two levels at which bureaucracy is a modern form of despotism. In most countries it is in departments of meteorology, weather, climate or environment. At the global level, it is in the United Nations. Regardless of location, it is essentially unaccountable and represents the enemy within.
Most people know Benjamin Disraeli’s comment, “There are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics”, but few understand how application of statistics affected our lives in the 20th century. We sense it when everything sort of fits everyone, but doesn’t precisely fit anyone.
